History

The impetus for the development of Orthopedic Surgery Center of Orange County (OSCOC) came from two groups of orthopedic surgeons (10 surgeons) who practiced almost exclusively at Hoag Hospital.  The surgeons and Hoag Hospital came to a mutually beneficial decision to work together and develop an ambulatory surgery center that focused strictly on the needs of the orthopedic patient.  Orthopedic Surgery Center of Orange County opened adjacent to Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach in 1999.  In May 2006, the Center relocated to its current location at 22 Corporate Plaza, in the Newport Center area of Newport Beach.
